Description: In a study conducted by National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, India for the residues of endosulfan in the water and fish samples from Himalayan region, no such residues were detected in fish samples collected from snowfed and rainfed rivers of Kumaun Himalayas. The report thus clearly states endosulfan degrades easily without leaving any toxic effects on living beings.
