Good War In The Ukraine Essay Example

The war in Ukraine has ensued since April 2014. It raged for months until a ceasefire was reached between the two groups. The separatists on 5th September came to a deal to halt the violence and free the prisoners that both camps had kept. However, the ceasefire was never held entirely. During the relative lull, the two camps built their forces and for months, rebels tried to take over Donetsk airport from the government forces. Donetsk airport is a symbolic and strategic asset for the rebels. So far, the war in Ukraine has cost lives of many people. It is sad for the rest of the world to witness what is going on in the country rather than helping the people. A ceasefire is still to happen and the short period that the rebels are not fighting, is used for regrouping and building their forces for further attacks.
The world is watching as the drama unfolds in Ukraine. For the UN forces, this is a challenge to them. The war has a lot of significance to the countries in the world. For instance, a country should see how a small fight can escalate to a big war and claim thousands of lives. Additionally, these countries will also witness how such a war can paralyses activities in a country. Shakhtar Donetsk football club is from Ukraine and at the moment, the field they were training got destroyed hence forcing them to travel miles away to train. ‘It is worth noting that the neighboring countries have kept quiet as they protect their borders instead of helping to regain peace. It is important for the allied countries to help each other to solve such a trivial matter and help the people live in peace.
The issue of war here is of significance to me also. The weight that this war carries is undeniably big. It is a challenge to me since it helps me to how I can solve a small issue so that it cannot develop into full-scale argument. Whoever said life is a challenge was never wrong. Some of the challenges people face include, a person insulting another person, another person trying to bully another, and quarrelling with a parents. All this matters as illustrated by the war in Ukraine at times develop into something you would not expect. Quarrelling with a friend if not handled properly can lead to a break up in the friendship. The war shows that, it is more important to solve matters completely instead of leaving them pending. In addition, it is critical for people to keep peace and help each other.
