Direct Observation This method is used where the observer wishes to directly observe how activities are done, how people behave or the frequency in which certain things occur (Weaththington, Cunningham and Pittenger, 2010). It can also be used to determine self-control, truthfulness, honesty and cooperativeness of people when they are doing certain activities.
