Can you think of song lyrics that express your own deepest feelings about life and its meaning? Are those lyrics “sacred” in any true meaning of the word?
The first song that hit upon me is Hozier's “Take Me to Church”. Rereading their lines I have come to opinion that this song is “sacred” because it contains lots of words from religious language. But also I believe that everything that a person creates is sacred and in this case the author of these lyrics is a creator who gave words new meaning, set them in a proper order and gave them life.

Every major religious tradition has a core prayer or statement of faith like the Shema in Judaism or the Islamic profession of faith or the Christian “Lord's Prayer.” What do those utterances mean? Can you analyze their core values?
As we know from Chapter 4 “words strain to give meaning”. That is why I think that these core prayers or statements of faith are devoted to help those people who find it hard to explain their feelings in a few words. These sacred things written in the religious language are difficult for understanding, thus every person sees various sense in them. This means that core prayer or statement can serve different purpose while still being the same text for everybody.

Question 4.

Tell your story – your autobiography – and ask, in the sense described above, whether or not it is like a “myth.”
I think that my autobiography is not like a “myth”. I mean this story of my birth and growing up, discoveries and disappointments, coming to faith and understanding other people's believes may be considered as “sacred”, but it does not include such “cosmic” questions as, for example, creation of human being or origin of the world. That is why I think my story can not be considered as the one that is like “myth.”
