Introduction

The client Winnie-Dixie is a food and drugs store. Its operations are in terms of retail and include a chain of stores. The company enjoys a good reception and widespread popularity in the industry. It also benefits from having a wide customer base. That has been beneficial to the company in attaining its corporate goals and survival in the ever-dynamic Food industry. As a branding strategy, the company has a slogan that depicts that it is innovating and evolving all the time in the services offered to its customers,

A mission statement is a short, precise statement that identifies the purpose, aims and values upheld by an organization. The vision, on the other hand, shows the future aspirations of an organization and is broad in nature as it merely gives an idea of where the organization hopes to be in the years to come. It acts as a guiding principle for employees on how to act while on duty and the expectations of the leaders towards their subordinates (Alchin).
Winn-Dixie’s mission is to be a trusted provider of services to the vast number of customers and all stakeholders concerned. With a vision of becoming better every day at the delivery of services and customer satisfaction levels, the organization has embarked on an overall strategy of aligning its core objectives and general long-term strategies (Winn.Dixie 13).

Analysis

In order to attain this, the organization greatly emphasizes on core values such as teamwork (McKeown 69). The employees consider themselves a winning team that cohesively operates in harmony with all of their business partners and stakeholders. The organization also ensures there is efficiency in the top management and leadership of the organization in order to further enhance the team that will enable it operate according to its mission statement.
The mission statement emphasizes on establishing and maintaining trust amongst employees. That is further practiced in the daily operations of the company. A close look at the chain of stores portrays a culture of trust that has over the years developed in the line of business. That trust is built daily over the years through a satisfactory offer of services to customers. For instance, the more customers buy fresh good that are in good condition and are not harmful to their health, the more they are convinced that the store has their best interests at heart and so place their trust in them.

Winn-Dixie strategies of operation

The organization capitalizes on open and honest communication between employees, employers, and all other stakeholders to attain uniformity in operations and consistency in the flow of information. Through training, employees gain knowledge and insight on how to carry out their duties and serve their customers in a satisfactory manner.
Strategies for attaining the organization’s mission include the development of food and safety policies and programs. These policies and programs are there to ensure that all food on offer in the stores such as waters and juices comply with the legal requirements of food and safety standards. The company also maintains all its assets in great shape and protects them from damage and theft. Not all equipment and company machinery can be removed from their immediate premises without authorization by the management. Communication channels are also guarded against misuse or misrepresentation of information as this might cause confusion and disharmony in the daily running of activities.
