The US Congress passed the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) of 1993 in order to stabilize the loads of employment with the essentials of families. It aims to encourage the economic strength and security of families. Also, it aims to encourage, on a national scale, the interest in upholding family integrity. Most importantly, it aims to decrease the probability of employment discrimination based on gender.
