The French Revolution was one of the most significant events in history, not only for France, but for a large part of Europe, as well as the world. The movement to bring the new ideas that removed the structure of monarchial rule to be replaced by a democracy was influencing nations throughout the world, whether through direct or indirect urging by the French revolutionaries.
