Abstract
Sex offenders are incarcerated to prevent recidivism. It is believed that sex offender treatment programs help rehabilitate sex offenders. Societies consider current measures sufficient and effective; yet, insist on looking upon them with disdain after they are released. This, in fact, challenges the effectiveness of sex offender treatment programs, since no actual results are shown.
