INTRODUCTION
Anthropogenic phenomena have severely challenged and undermined the sanctity of earth’s air, land and water. Environmental crime refers to human behaviors and actions that breach government statutes and provisions implemented in order to protect the physical and ecological environment. Although the formal statutory efforts to curb infractions against the environment, collective efforts to mitigate or stem environmental harm have a long history.
