The depictions of pro-slavery and anti-slavery states of Antebellum America are evident in Stowe’s “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”. Originally published a few years before the American Civil War, of between 1861 and 1865, Historians list Stowe’s novel as one of the reasons behind the final decision for the opposing sides to take up arms.
