Background and need for the study
Readmission is whereby the patient is taken back to the hospital because of certain complication experienced after he or she has been discharged from the hospital. For example, someone after being discharged from a surgery can be taken back to the hospital as a result of surgical wound infection that happens after he or she was discharged from the hospital. It is very important to understand that not all the readmission is related to the previous hospital visit. This study is very important because it also determines the quality of the study the patience are getting from the hospital.
