According to the article Netanyahu calls the ongoing talks to lift sanctions against Iran and give the Iranian government permission to use the nuclear technology on civilian activities, as “a very bad deal” and a “mistake” (Roger, 2015). The prime minister believes the sanctions and pressure against the Iranian government should continue. According to the article, Netanyahu prefers military action against Iran since each passing year the country is getting stronger and its appetite for revenge or retaliation against its enemies is getting better. The military action will halt the Iranian nuclear program or delay the program by push it years back. If the Iranian government gets hold of the nuclear power, Jewish nation’s security is at risk since the Iranian government can be in a position challenge the Israel military power.
The article depicts totalitarianism which is defined as “an authoritarian system in which state leaders seek to control every aspect of society”
The article shows the influence of totalitarianism and power on other nations like the Iranian government. The sanctions against Iranian government make sure the country does not have a strong economy which will enable the country gain nuclear power program. Additionally, the sanctions suppress the military strength of the Iranian government hence the country cannot retaliate in case it is threaten by another government with superior power or military strength such as Israel.
