Graphite is the material of choice for future products, including sports items and automobile parts. The paper is interesting as it throws light on a method to create strong graphite materials. The paper describes the activation of a cohesive energy using hot-pressing technique to build strong multiwall carbon nanotubes and nanofibers. The process entailed electrospinning the carbon nanotubes and then thermally stabilizing the fabrics under static pressure.

This indicated possible utility in constructing tissue-engineering scaffolds.

This transformed composite could be used in components requiring increased resistance to heat.
