Advantages and disadvantages of virtual server adoption by organization
In general, server virtualization has various benefits. They include reducing the number of physical servers in the data center, save the cost of operations, has low power consumption from the server and cooling systems. Server virtualization also makes better utilization of the processor for server, better utilization of memory by running of multiple virtual machines at the same time. In addition, server virtualization permits extra efficient utilization of resources for the physical server by several independent units. Virtual servers can also run on different hardware for server autonomously. There is also reduction in the hardware footprint due to the reduction in the number of physical servers which implies less cooling along with consumption of energy ( Hamid, 2013, Bari et al., 2013).
Server virtualization also has some limitations. First is that the number of virtual machines consumption of the physical processor have to be as low as possible in order to overcome overload, implying less CPU efficiency. Second is that the scalability of handling high workload is limited in such a way that the input/output scalability to handle the workload for virtual machines may reach its limit. Third is that extra memory is needed to support virtual machines that increased the number of cache misses. This is because of the capacity conflicts that come as a result of extra instructions in the virtual machine. Others include negative performance of the server and problem of hardware failure. Last but not least, the virtual machine will fail since all relies on the physical server in case the physical hardware in the physical server also fails ( Hamid, 2013, Bari et al., 2013).
Plan for implementing Hyper-V as a solution for the organization
There are some requirements needed for this implementation to take place. YThe plan thus include hardware solutions for setting up hyper-V infrastructure which depends on business reqirements.The bare-metal hypervisor, also called type I hypervisor is needed as the type of server virtualization for Hyper-V. Next is that the VMs representation of virtual machine is required with operating systems which may be different on the same physical server. Also required are the virtual machine monitor (VMM), multiple operating systems and two or more databases. The multiple operating will be used to run on the same hardware while two or more databases will be installed and configured on every VM in the same or different operating system. The VMM will have the role of controlling virtualization (Hamid, 2013).
The rationale of this plan decision is because hyper-V has more advantage of manageability, ease of deployment as well as considerably reduced total cost of ownership than other products like VMware. Therefore hyper-V exceeds VMware in terms of features provided. The features include the functionality of several other VMware products that are considered as expensive add-ons. Hyper-v also brings complete end-to-end virtualization of infrastructure with private cloud solution in its environment (Savil, 2014, Siron, 2013).

Implementation of a virtual infrastructure
The implementation of virtual server should proceed for the organization. This is justified for various reasons. First, the organization has multiple sites with server count of more than 400. This means that the level of the workload is high which requires hyper-V to offer engineering flexibility in order to permit administrators to tune the virtualized workloads in accordance with the needs of the business. Hyper-V is also designed to maximize performance by reducing wastage as well as saving of memory given that a single hyper-V host server can be used to support hundreds of thousands of concurrent users. It also implies that the workload requires more storage across many databases which call for flexible memory assignment according to pressure for resources that can best be achieved by server virtualization through hyper-V(Aidan, 2011).
