Through his books in the New Testament, Paul has helped shed light on what God expects Christians to live. The teachings found in his books depict his close relationship with Jesus. Nerveless, God converted Paul from the name Saul on his way to Damascus where he was going to persecute the Christians. Conversely, the Christian ideas that Paul has received from others and is passing on in his letters and explain why these are important are numerous in his books. First, in the book of Roman, Paul claims to complete preaching Christ’s gospel from Jerusalem and around it up to Illyricum (Marion 28). For this reasons, the Christians should take it upon themselves to help and preach the gospel to many people one can reach.
Additionally, he encourages people only to rest after teaching Christ’s gospel. As a result, the word helps in, motivating the Christians to cover vast areas thereby; bringing more people to God’s kingdom. For to claim completion on the spreading the gospel, one should have reached many people and places. It is something that is unattainable because it is not possible to get all the people. However, during his preaching of the ministry, not everyone believed the word of God (Marion 26). Furthermore, some went to the extent of opposing his ministry as seen in 2nd Corinthians 11:12-15. It acted as a preparation and precaution to the Christians to never lose hope or feel victimized by the gospel rebels. As a result, the Christians should not force everyone listen to them. The indication of the opposition informs the Christians of the blocks one faces while in the mission of spreading the gospel.
Consequently, Paul encourages the Christians to rejoice always in the Lord’s name. He passed the message of hope to the Christians (Marion 121). Additionally, he acknowledges that Christians face hardships but should always rejoice in the Lord because He solves all the problems. He also reminds the Christians that God never leaves His people. Therefore, Christians should never feel left or discouraged by the experiences, but should praise the Lord for His doings and trust in Him always.
