Good Argumentative Essay On There Need For The Society To Change Their Perspective On Issues Of Gender And Feminism

Feminism is a topic that has been of discussion for many years by many research and political analysts. Much of the debate on feminism has always revolved around the issues of the need to transform the perspective that people have on these ideas. In the article “Global gender issues”, the author provides an analysis of gender issues and the relationship between feminism governance and world politics. The major issue that comes up in this analysis is the need to focus on the changing rather shifting positioning of women and men in relation to issues of global governance, global politics and even global economics. Gender should not be confused with sex and women. There has also been a common misconception that whenever people talk about gender then they are only talking about women. This is not the case since gender refers to the socially learned behaviors that have been passed over from one generation to the other. The same idea seems to come up in the article “Women Worldwide”. The author mentions that the society needs to get alive to the fact that gender only refers to the idea of giving specific responsibility to particular groups and in this case gender tries to limit women’s responsibilities to taking care of children. The two articles seem to inform each other in such a way that they both discuss the issues of feminism and globalization. Both of them give their perspective on the need to have the society realize and transform their ideas into the issues of gender. The article “Under Western Eyes” the author differs in the argument on feminism. His perspective is that there is the need to understand that the issues of feminism differ in respect to ethnic, race and location differences. He argues that there is need to analyze and understand feminism on third world locus. Sue Morgan seeks to provide a deeper understanding of what feminism is. In this article, the author seeks to provide the definition of feminism from the various perspectives. He also goes ahead to discuss the genesis of feminism and how the ideology has spread over to other parts of the world. To complement the previous articles, Myra focuses his attention on the development and the transformation of feminism and feministic movements over the years. He also goes ahead to highlight the challenges that this movement have face over time.
In all this articles, I was intrigued by the argument and the ideas that the articles “Global gender issues” presents. The author is keen to mention how the world politics has changed over the years that now gender is an issue that dominates International relations. The author’s argument is that there is the need for the society to reconstruct and re-restructure the identity of women basing on how roles are structured amongst the various genders. It is important that gender analysis focuses on challenging the idea that the determinant of dualist gender identities should be natural sex. The author tries to connect the inequality between women and men in the world politics of global security, governance, economy and even ecology. Through the use of theoretical, historical, and empirical analysis the author can highlight the issues of gender division on the basis of power, class, race and national divisions. The author uses a new intersectional analysis to show significant advancement in feminist international translation and feminist scholarships to respond to the issues of global governance, global economic restructuring, and militarization. It is clear that the crisis of representation, sustainability and insecurity has deepened especially after the 9/11. The concerns and emphasis among global gender policy makers has also increased. It is worth to mention that the author’s argument in this article is well presented and well-defended. It is from this perspective that one can argue that the author has been able to develop a clear understanding of the imbalance in the issues revolving around gender transformation.
