Property crimes are a category of crimes for which sometimes, the victim are blamed for being victimized by them. Taking some one’s property by force either by burglary, theft, motor vehicle theft or a robbery are the kinds of property crimes. To blame the victim for property kinds lies in the evidence of the fact that the victim was somewhere involved in instigating someone to commit the crime against him. Not always are victims blamable for the crimes against them, yet there are incidences where a victim may have something to do with what has happened to them.
With everything that a person owns, there lies a certain responsibility upon them to take care and watch over what they have. If they do not take proper security measures then, they become vulnerable to the criminal elements that are always in search of bait. If people make use of security devices such as cameras and well-equipped alarm systems, then they will be secure from burglars and robbers. In this case, if a person gets inflicted with property crime, then he is a pure victim of the crime and cannot be blamed for not taking enough safety measures in his defense. As opposed to this, a person who does not take the required precautionary measures for his defense and gets deprived of his property then he can be blamed for the incident as he too is responsible for allowing this crime to occur.
This gets related to victim blaming since if a person is careless in protecting his property, then can be a chance that they and the criminal could be partners in crime and the reason for that could be yearning for an insurance from the company, hiding some other motive and pretending to hide another occurrence.
