Generally, there are two important types of organizations are there known as Profit Organizations and not for Profit Organizations. As clear by the name profit organizations have the inclination to increase their profit while operating in an industry, while not for organization is a type of organization which are not at all dealing with generating revenues and net income(Drucker, p.56).
Apart from this different, there is yet another important difference that found important and interactive among the profit and not for profit organizations. Profit organizations usually associated their funds from the shareholder’s equity while the fund management of the not for profit organization usually contains with public donations. In order to do investment or donation in an organization, it is very important for the people to have strong and thorough knowledge related to the related to the company. Currently, not for profit organizations are using Social Media Networks for their effectiveness and having a high amount of donation according to their effectiveness. Both of these organizations relate to different industries and both of them relate to Canadian region. The assignment has been divided into different provisions and all of them are important for the significance. It is required in this assignment to analyze how these organizations are utilizing social Medias for getting donations.
Discussion & Analysis
Social Media Networking is basically a type of Internet media that provides a platform to the individuals to interact with other people easily and with ease. Social media networking has now emerged as one of the most important aspects associated with the organizations in all over the world to increase their marketing and promotional activities in a perfect manner(Drucker, p.58).
Both profit and not for profit organizations are endeavoring very hard to increase their capability in the industry to make a long time journey. Social Media marketing has now emerged as the most fruitful and cost effective marketing strategies uses by the companies. Usually low budget organizations use this particular strategy for their effectiveness and taking powerful decisions. Not for profit organizations that usually operates with lost amount of budget has the chance to use social media to attract donors from different parts of the world
Threshold School of Building and Social Media Networking
Threshold School of Building is a registered Charity based organization that was established in the year 2001. The company is dedicated to provide practical a sustainable community based development in the area of Hamilton, Canada. The company initiated different practical and learning exams for the people of Canada to with an age of 15-30 years. The initiative was taken by this company to make the every person of Canadian region effective with hands on experience over different packages. Apparently, the company is looking very effective and solid as they are about to maintain a strong significance within their operations and effectiveness.
Threshold School of Building (TSB) has a facebook page with only 129 likes and 14 views. The company has been working in the region of Canada from last 13 years, but the number of likes associated with the company is very low. It is showing that the company is not doing an effective job as far as using the social media networking for their expansion and operations are concerned(Tsob.ca). The page of TSB found over the facebook is not depicting that the company is a not for profit practical training organizations, also they uploaded of military personnel. After having a strong glance over the facebook page of the company, not one can get an idea that what the main purpose and operation of this company. Though the level of operations of the company is highly effective and powerful, but their way to attract donors is not effective and sound and requires a major work(Drucker, p.51).
I personal don’t think that their social media working can attract a substantial amount of donors towards the company. Even, I am not sure whether to donate in this organization or not. I will definitely donate high sum of money after seeing their official page in which they have sufficient information related to their operations, business and execution, however after seeing the facebook page, my idea in terms of donating in it(Tsob.ca).
They can do differently as they are catering one of the most important issues in the current scenario which is low amount of skill educations in the Canadian region due to which the problem of ineffectiveness within the country may increase. The marketing of the company should focus over their facebook and other social media pages to make them attractive for the donors. Pasting pictures regarding their trainings with informative articles related to their services are some of the major aspects that should be undertake by the company to increase their marketing campaign with a positive mindset.
Food Banks Canada and Social Media Marketing
Food banks Canada is the national charitable organization that represents and support all the food bank community found in the Canadian region. The members and the company serve approx. 85% of the people accessing foods from different food programs. The country found very eager and effective as far as meeting the short term need of the food, and complying with the long term solution to hunger accordingly from the region(Foodbankscanada.ca).
Food Bank Canada (FBC) has a facebook page with more than 25,000 likes and 97 views. It is explicitly showing that the food is a basic necessity for a human being, and (FBC) is doing a powerful job as far as having effectiveness in their existence is concerned(Foodbankscanada.ca). It is showing that the company is doing an effective job as far as using the social media networking for their expansion and operations are concerned. The page of (FBC) found over the facebook is perfectly depicting that the company is a not-profit foodorganizations; also they have uploaded pictures related to hunger and its consequences. After having a strong glance over the facebook page of the company, one can get an idea that regarding the main purpose and operation of this company. Though the level of operations of the company is highly effective and powerful and their way to attract donors is effective and sound and requires a major work(Foodbankscanada.ca).
After a critical observation and analysis of the social media activities of (FBC), I will certainly donate in this particular organization. The facebook page is clearly showing that the 52% of the Canadian people are unable to get the effective and healthy diet due to their low income; hence it is very important for them to donate funds. Food is the basic necessity of an individual, and no one can survive on this earth without food. The message delivered by (FBC) through their social media networking is amazing and heart touching and it will certainly makes the things in the favor of the company in the future as far as having high amount of donation are concerned. Apart from that, the activities of the company in terms of high research and development is also making a strong not for profit organization to his company that will certainly make a huge different in the food market with a positive frame of mind.
Technology has now emerged as a major part of differentiation among the organizations, as technology is an important aspect for them as far as having viability and strong access to the markets are concerned. Social media networking and marketing is one of the most important types of marketing that can be used by t he organizations in all over the world. Both for profit and not for profit organizations are now utilizing the social media networking for their effectiveness in the market. The main theme of this paper also relates to the utilization of social media networking for the not for profit organization. From this analysis, it is clear that one of the organizations don’t have effective social media networking stance to attract donors while other has powerful networking. From the core analysis of these two not for profit organization, it is clear that FBC is comparatively sounder than that of TSB, because the stance of attracting the donors are effective in terms of FBC because the company is effective in terms of utilizing the social media effectiveness as far as managing and executing their operations in an effective manner particularly. Apart from these two organizations, the government of Canada should come up with some new not for profit organizations as well in order to eradicate the level of poverty, scarcity of food and other social problems completely. It is the only aspect from which the country can have their name with positive node in the market in near future.
