Twelve states in the United States have passed laws regarding screening or drug testing for all applicants of welfare benefits. The states include Missouri, Michigan, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Utah, Kansas, Arizona, and Mississippi. The legislations have varying requirements.
