Abstract
Workplace diversity is a broad and often contentious term to define fully. However, its abuses lead the United States Congress to pass Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1969, which created the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and tasked it to implement the Act and the subsequent diversity laws, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1972 and the Civil Rights Act of 1991.
