These are the workplace of a civil engineer. First, all the design and analysis works for projects are done in an office. An office always has a desk, a chair and a computer to assist an Engineer plan, design, and prepare schedules and bill of quantities. Second, field engineer spends most of their time collecting data and information in the field. Their workplace becomes the field where they will be collecting survey data, hydrogeology data collection, etc. Also, their workplace can be the road construction site, where supervision of the road construction takes place. Additionally, an engineer who is supervising building and construction works at the site; the site becomes their working place.
The task you regularly perform that you consider ‘work.’ This should be a task that most people do not regularly perform. Write a paragraph below that explains how to perform the task.
The following are the works that a civil engineer performs. Prepares the design and do some analysis tasks, makes the bill of materials and schedules. Also, they consult with professionals, client and government official on the issues concerning the design and other works. They also carry out survey to collect data or information such as level and coordinates, hydrogeology data and hydrological study, etc. Additionally, the conduct supervisory works or construct for building and construction works at the site or on the road construction. They consider construction costs, potential environmental hazards, government regulation, risk analysis and other planning stages. They also, test building materials like asphalt, concrete or steel that is being used in a project. More so, they manage public and private infrastructures, they also manage repairs, maintenances and replacement of some constructions.
The following describes how civil consulting engineers perform their tasks. First, immediately they arrive at their working place they make the workplace tight by arranging their operating table. Second, plan for the work task that they are supposed to work on such as design or planning, etc. They are involved in the development, design and construction of a massive range of projects in the natural environment and built. Basing on the information acquired from school and experience, they carry out design within the tolerance of the standard within the fields. They usually use design software to help them present their work well. They use software like AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Prokon, Staad Pro, Water Cad, Risa Tower, etc. to come up with safe, economic and aesthetical design. It can be a building, road, bridges, dam, water supply system, water structures, waste treatment structures, etc.

I choose this career because my father was a civil engineer, he motivated me, and I knew he was going to be my mentor. He always came home with A2 andA1 paper drawing. Every time he was home for weekends, somebody could call him to consult him on the issue with buildings. And he had too much cash than my mum. So I grew up wanting to become one as my father, and then it became my passion that I must be a civil engineer. And now I am a civil engineer.
There are various effects of being a civil engineer. First, designing and creating or building something useful to the real world. Second, it helps in solving problems, coordinating efforts, building and thinking solution to real world problems. Also, it’s being able to earn a decent living with the salary payment. Additionally, I will be able to assist my family economically. Finally, all the entire life will be focused on books, such that I have to refer to specific standards for every design.
