English

An argument is the presentation of a view point related to a specific topic lavishly supported by various supporting elements. An effective argument needs a creative mix of several elements like effective claims, solid evidences, and rebuttal. The effectiveness and credibility of the argument is highly influenced by the balanced usage of these elements.
The ultimate foundation of any argument is the claim. The major opposing idea for the claim is often the counter argument. Hence, identifying the most appropriate evidences that supplement the claim helps to establish the argument.

Ethos, Pathos, and Logos

My Argument will have the Ethos represented by me as a neutral person. I will avoid inclinations towards various viewpoints based on my personal experiences. I will give importance to the values and emotional aspects represented by the Pathos. The logic and reason part will be my primary area while framing the argument and it will be represented by Logos.

My Thesis statement

“If America Decides to withdraw its forces from the Middle East, the region will once again fall into a state of anarchy and it will subsequently affect the entire World”

Claims

The Middle East has always been the center of chaos and anarchy since the beginning of the modern age. The terrorism and fanatic extremism have triggered further destructive movements across the globe. After the September 11 terrorist attacks the strategies adopted by the US have helped in maintaining peace in the region. Any move to retaliate will hence give a wrong signal to the extremist regimes to escalate terrorism to the next levels. (state.gov)

Counterargument

All the Nations in the Middle East regions are not breeding terrorism and fundamentalism. The American aggression in the region may give a wrong signal and panic of cultural and geographical invasion by the west, as against the reality.

Rebuttal Ideas

The United States, being a responsible sovereign nation is committed to safeguard the lives and property of its own citizens as well as that of its allies. Hence to build a better world the present occupation of certain states might be necessary for long term peace.

Questions or concerns regarding the argument

The argument might sound to be creating an ethnic barrier between the US citizens and the people from the Middle East. It can be interpreted as typically pro US and against the interest of the Arab World.
