Most societies are defined by the cultural values that exist. This therefore implies that cultural value standards define what is right from wrong. Nonetheless, different societies have different thoughts and beliefs of what is good or bad and what should be embraced by the people of that society . In this case online cheating is a culture that is considered to be wrong. Online cheating is a culture that has emerged as a result of the youths or people being empowered technologically. As such, they have become aware of how to manoeuvre through the system hence resulting to cheating. This is a culture that is considered bad hence should not be entertained.
With the revolution of the internet and other related technologies, cheating has become the order of the day. The introduction of the internet has made it easy for students to obtain answers online and as such, this has made them think more towards cheating. In addition, the fact that students in this modern world are under pressure of passing their exams brings them to the point of cheating. Today students have many channels of being academically dishonest than the students of the previous generation . Cheating has now been said to have developed and entered the digital age. It is said that students are now part of the copy and paste era where cheating and dishonest behaviour in examinations or in studies is only a mouse click away. The traditional live classes are said to have had more moral virtues as it was seemingly more difficult for students to cheat in that form of education as compared to the online classes. As such, we may come to the conclusion that there is more cheating in online classes and this contradicts with cultural values.
