The introduction of cost effective ways of providing health care reduce liabilities regarding negligence and malpractices (Thomas, McLean, & Debnam, 2012). On the other hand, countries have introduced health regulations regarding issues of malpractice and negligence in order to minimize liabilities of international allied health professionals. In Italy, health professionals are held responsible for negligence and malpractices experienced while attending to patients. For example, developing countries suffer from lack of experienced and trained health professionals to deal with chronic illnesses and major surgeries creating a potential liability to the national health sector. Secondly, global organizations have different health insurance covers compared to national organizations. The insurance cost in national organizations is high compared to international organizations. Allied health professionals operating internationally are likely to receive high liability compensations compared to professionals working in national organizations.

Recommendations for health professionals in national and global organizations

Health professionals working in national and global organizations should demonstrate high levels of proficiency that aligns with the changing trends in health care. Presently, health professionals work nationally or globally and are expected to adhere to international health regulations. Firstly, institutions responsible for training health care providers should design and implement continuous development training programs that focus on evolving global health-care needs. Health professionals should undergo extensive training programs aimed at equipping them with international health standards. Education and training help in advancing and transforming health professions and prepared them for the future expansion of the health care sector (World Health Organization, 2013). Secondly, the government, health project donors, and other funding institutions should be encouraged to support the implementation of policies that support global health-care needs. Examples of such policies are the introduction of health insurance covering less disadvantaged, the poor and low-income families in all nations worldwide.
Health care delivery has expanded to global levels calling for more advancements and innovations. Health training institutions should encourage students to come up with innovations that will ensure common malpractices and negligence cases within the health sector come to an end. The government should incorporate community-based health officials and community workers in educating the public on how to live healthy lifestyles. Finally, most potential liabilities experienced in national and global organizations occur because of poor accreditation of allied health officials. National health care departments should introduce accreditation of health professionals. The Government should only allow accredited health providers to offer medical services to patients at national and international levels to avoid cases of liabilities. According to World Health Organization (2013), accreditation of healthcare providers has a significant positive impact on individuals seeking employment in international organizations. Accredited health professionals demonstrate high levels of knowledge and skills that ensure patients receive quality and safe medical care.

Conclusion

The discussion revealed that allied health professionals face challenges from changing trends and concepts, which cause significant liabilities to national and international health organizations. Negligence and malpractices are major causes of healthcare liabilities. Additionally, national and global organizations experience different types of liabilities, and some are similar while others vary in terms of potential.
