The hypothesis statement in the study is that lack of parental care leads to involvement in gangs. This is the statement that will act as a guide in the study and all the relevant data will be collected and analyzed in an effort to arrive at a logical conclusion about the issue. The testing of the hypothesis will be done on a sample of people who are in gangs and who are suspected to be involved in gangs. These people will be questioned and put under test to ensure that they give the desired answers that will make the research give a conclusive answer and opinion on the hypothesis.
The results of the hypothesis form the opinion that it is true that lack of parental care indeed leads to children being involved in gangs. Those who are recruited in gangs were found to be from families with a single parent. In most cases, boys who were raised by single mothers or those orphaned at an early age are the individuals who enter gangs. Their involvement in the gangs is to give them a sense of belonging, care and security. A closer focus on the members of gangs indicated that they are mostly from families that do not provide all the amenities and basic needs that would support a good life for the boys. Lack of parental counsel also played a major role in children joining gangs (Covey, 2010).
The outcomes of this survey are critical in clinical care in ensuring that all parents comprehend the importance of offering the best care and counsel to their children. The results can be useful in parents-children forums to elaborate and illustrate the impact of parental care on their children.
