My day starts at 5:30 am because I always set my alarm at this time. After I wake up the first thing I do is to take a shower so that I freshen up. I always take a shower before I start my day because my instinct tells me it’s the right thing to do after waking up. Before I take a shower, I can do nothing but after this I freshen up; I groom myself to look presentable and ready for a long day. The reason as to why I groom myself well is because in the many years I have learnt that people will judge you depending on how you present yourself. If you present yourself to them when you are neat they learn to respect you but if you present yourself in a manner that that is not good they will not even recognize your presence (Blau, 2007). Then I take my breakfast ready to start my day as I read my newspaper to be updated on what is happening in the world around me. At 7: oo am out of the house ready for the day hustle because I believe that I must work hard before I become successful.
The first thing I do is to report to my part time job where I work as a cashier in a supermarket. I work for two hours before I go to college. The reason that makes me work before I get to college is because I like to be independent and not asking my parents for everything. As I work I interact with individuals from different background that help me to shape up my character. After which, I head to college where I attend my lecture because my instinct tells me that it is my responsibility as a student to ensure that I attend all the lectures. And for one to pass the exam he or she must take the lectures seriously.
After the lecture, I get time to interact with my friends from school. Through interaction with my friends, I get to learn new thing that help me build myself to be a better person. I also take time to hear my friends out and also help those that may require my help because I see it right to friends to be always there for each other. In the evening, I go to play basketball because I need to keep fit and am the only person that is responsible for my health. Then, I go back home at 8PM because I am responsible for my safety and staying out late is exposing my life to risk. I take my dinner and watch a movie and by 10: 30PM I go to bed (Blau, 2007).
In conclusion, I can say am a responsible young man who is gearing up to be the leader of the tomorrow. I perform all my duties as a young person and at the same time I am trying to make my road to the future by studying hard in college. I have not let myself be lost in drugs as most young people have done. I have achieved this by ensuring that I always have such a busy day as from the saying that an idle mind is a workshop of the devil. Keeping myself busy the whole day prevents me from getting into harmful behaviors.
