One out of every twenty five pressure ulcer admissions resulted into death. Pressure ulcers are a serious problem for they develop quickly and are not easy to heal. One cost pressure ulcer can cost around 40,000 USD to heal. They are therefore a serious problem. Shortage of nurses and the fact that some of the patients need a lot of frequent turning are some of the challenges that are facing the process of healing pressure ulcers. To deal with the ulcers we should identify regions of the skin where they are likely to form, develop a resource-optimized repositioning schedule for patients and acquire a historical schedule for patient positions. To solve the problem, the patient should be moved and rested frequently. Daily reports that are available to the nurses and the physicians should be availed each day.
