Sexual Identities: A Reflection Paper Article Review

For the purpose of this reflection paper, following quote has been selected for the analysis, “An additional problem is that these debates actually prevent us from engaging in any kind of broad social analysis of how our lives are managed by institutions”. The reason behind selecting the quote is that it is indicating and raising a list of questions that are yet to be answered concerning transgender and transsexual identities.
After reading the chosen section of the article, I was quiet impressed by the assertion that the author has made in the article. It is because people raise more and more concern about the rights of the transgender or transsexual groups but many important questions such as traveling to other countries with such a different sexual orientation are overlooked. In fact, I believe that I have never asked such a question myself as well.
Talking about the relevance of the issue raised about the article, I have witnessed my friends to be in a problem where they were confused about getting the healthcare service for being a transgender. In fact, I had no solution to such a problem as well since my friend does not fall in any category of the medical statistics.
I believe that there is a lot of room of edition to be made into the article. It is because the author has criticized the usage of the identities to a large extent. However, the question raised concerning the institutional facilitation for all the genders remain a major question of concern. The questions could have been discussed and mentioned explicitly by the author in the article for clarity.
