It is believed that U.S  states population is increasing at large with or without adequate resources. Though, government and non-government sources are putting tangible efforts to take a control over it, yet concrete visible efforts are required to make a sustainable population and consumption balance. Increasing population has a negative impact on quality of life. For this reason sustainability in resources is required in the future to manage resources specially human numbers, waste management and resources to accommodate these things. This is only possible if current policies will be changed in order to make total impact of population within the boundaries of sustainability.
It is reported that particular features of U.S populations comprise: family size, the annual figure of people getting immigration to U.S, annual birth rate and net growth rate. These are the dominant indicators that can determine  the impact of quality of life in future generations. Apart from these indicators, there are many social, cultural and economic factors that may add value to wealth, education, culture, and related aspects.
A sustainable United states means a state that can produce and provide quality life standards for  the existing people as well as future generation and this  can be achieved only if a balance between population and consumption is maintained at adequate level.
First of all, U.S government should re-look into the policies as the current policies have loopholes in the system that cannot cope production and consumption balance of resources as per the need of the population.
Secondly, growing over-population is not only the  U.S problem only, It is the global problem with more challenges and threats to the planet at the time. Not all human being, but at least all biologists, researchers and scientist must give a deep insight into the problem.
Thirdly, critical studies evaluate insufficient assessment of pessimistic ecological impacts  on the ecological system  pessimistic environmental impacts can also crop up as the extent of an activity sternly misuses the usual systems from which it originates or in which it occurs, although it is not intrinsically lethal. For example, the use of timber is not harmful but it may turn out to be so if forests are harvested more than normal cases, and environment is harshly disrupted in order to crop wood. Correspondingly, non-hazardous wastes are not damaging themselves but when they become so capacious that they stain whole landscape, damage public government, or pollute groundwater further than its sanitization capacity, then they are a colossal dilemma.
It is also believed that presently problems associated with overpopulation are on the rise due to many factors like waste management issues, unemployment, infant mortality rate and contagious disease health indicators. Though the issues are not as alarming as developing countries but sufficient to open eyes for policy makers to formulate solid and strategic policies for the coming generations. Among all these hazards, most significant is the hazard of the negative effect of  environment which is destroying the natural assets a bit by bit.
In conclusion, it is believed that in spite of  the marvelous ambiguity inbuilt in any population ridge or estimate, it is obvious that in the coming century earth will have  to support at least twofold its existing human residents .It is still  doubtful  whether  systems of the globe will maintain the impact of  loads of inhabitants or  not. Similar is the case with the U.S population for which reason government policies will have to be flexible, keep peruse to cope with coming challenges  and this  is obligatory to address population and consumption jointly to generate a sustainable United States.
