Bonaparte lived in the hearts of people as the creator of the revolution, the savior of France. But the constant wars and crept "from behind" the economic crisis in 1810 undermined people's faith in Napoleon. The bourgeoisie became annoyed by constant expenses on foreign policy expansionary companies, meaning of which it could not see. In addition, it became clear that Europe fully meet all the necessary goods France cannot. Emperor in the eyes of the owners became an ordinary selfish, wanting to subdue the earth as much as possible and to strengthen his dynasty. Victim of such purposes became Napoleon’s first wife, Josephine, whom he divorced, and then re-engaged to an Austrian princess - Marie-Louise, who bore Bonaparte an heir.
The strength of Tilsit began to wane rapidly, and therefore in Europe were growing anti-French sentiment. Napoleon, in anticipation of the creation of counter-French coalition breaks relations with the Emperor Alexander I and takes a fateful decision to attack Russia. In this war against Napoleon was everything from moral decline in the French army, ending with the fact that at a distance from his native France fighting, to put it mildly, was difficult. And when the Russian drove Napoleon from the Russian Empire in the Battle of Leipzig, the French army was destroyed. It was the collapse of the reign of Napoleon, who renounced the French throne and moved to the island of Elba, which was kindly provided his allies.
Napoleon still managed to make an attempt to regain power, when he returned, the Bourbons and their followers dramatically changed the policy of the state. This is a very frightened French society, which led Napoleon's escape from Elba. Back in Paris, he was solemnly received by a jubilant mass. But hold on to power, Napoleon failed because France was no longer able to make war. Famous "Hundred Days of Napoleon" failed miserably for the Great Bonaparte. In 1815, at Waterloo he was soundly defeated by united forces and was captured by the British, who imprisoned him on the island of St. Helena, where he spent his last years.
