Newly Industrialized Countries (NICs) are those countries with the national economy that is moving towards being primarily based on production of goods. Thus, they are marked industries such as construction mining and manufacturing away from agricultural based industries. The countries are increasingly trading with developed countries, and they have higher living standards than the developing countries.
