The Persian gulf is part of the Arabian sea situated in between Iran and the Arabian peninsula. It is around 90,000 sq miles that links to the Gulf of Oman extending around 600 miles from the delta of Shatt al Arab to the Hormuz Strait. It is popularly known as the Arabian Gulf.
