Professional socialization is a process through which an individual acquires the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values needed to enact the role of the chosen profession in a satisfactory manner (Dinmohammadi, Peyrovi & Mehrdad, 2013). Attached to a role are a set of behaviors which constitute the norms for that profession. These norms are what clients, colleagues, and superiors expect of the individual in a particular role.
