The company kikki.K was built by Kristina Karlsson and started it in Melbourne, Australia. The company is situated in Melbourne, which is in the south-eastern part of mainland Australia within the territory Victoria. The company did not encounter any stern policies from the government of Australia; however, Victoria is following certain Environmental Protection Act policies, which companies should abide by. Since kikki.K , a stationery company, uses trees to produce high-quality stationery, they have to be efficient in using these natural resources.
The Environmental Protection (Resource Efficiency) Act 2002 (Anon., 2015), states that all the sectors of the Victorian Community should continue to find new ways to utilise new resources more economically and lessen the ecological impact of their business. This is one of the laws that a business should follow when located in the territory of Victoria.
Since kikki.K Company has been in the stationery industry for almost ten years, it became one of the leading competitors for other thriving stationery companies. The following are the competitors of kikki.K Company: Stationery World, which supplies everyday office and stationery needs and provides customers with possible varieties of stationery;Papier D’ Amour, which provides glamorous, classy, and elegant stationery for all occasions; Poppies for Grace, which is a stationery store known for its eco-friendly prints, and Print Fairy, which offers modern and stylish designs of stationery. These stationery suppliers are chosen as the direct competitors of kikki.K since they are situated near the Melbourne Company of kikki.K. The company also competes with the abovementioned competitors through online selling. Through online search and selling, the company was able to establish brand building (Reid 2015). References
