Good Scholarship Application Essay Example

Since my tender age, I have wanted to be a physician’s assistant. My passion for a better health motivated my desire in volunteer services, and advocating for clean and safe environment both at home and high school. This efforts greatly encouraged my desire to join UCLA care extender program, in which I volunteer and participate in providing health care services on numerous occasions; including training at a medical center, where I assisted the college football and basketball club. I was acknowledged as the most helpful care extender within the center. I live with my family, and in most unlikely events, I usually provide basic healthcare service to them. In order to achieve my life time goals, I realized quality health care education will be very helpful. My duration at Santa Monica College, was very helpful as well, in that, I volunteer in providing healthcare services for my fellow students. But it is important that, I should pursue a masters in science as a physician’s assistant. I am excited with my future plans and I trust Adiba Shaby Scholarship, I will learn and help the society.
During the academic year 2014-2015, I had the opportunity to join University of California, Los Angeles with mean score of 4.0 from Santa Monica College. Gladly, in the first quarter at UCLA I managed to attain 4.0 as well. Perhaps, my hard work has always translated to better results, although, coming from a community college system was actually challenging, to adjust to a quick ten week quarter system at University of California, Los Angeles. The system is quite competitive and sometimes I find it difficult to get help from me fellow colleagues, since classes are primarily based on curves. However, the last UCLA quarter system was very exciting, helpful and successful, although it wasn’t technically positive to get me out of my parents’ home. In fact, commuting is such a challenge, in that my level of meeting and socializing with new student was very minimal. After completing and graduating, I plan to progress with my education, in order to attain a master degree as a physician’s assistant. Most importantly, I believe the scholarship will play a significant role in completing my studies and eventually achieving my goals. In fact, I aspire to get the full college experience, but currently, I lack the opportunity because I stay at home and mostly I commute to attend classes. Precisely, I am not getting the typical college experience because I live at home. Part of the experience ismoving out, but I can’t afford it. Even so, I try as much as possible to participate in school activities and meet new people. Through socializing and connecting with new members, I am a member of the PA club at the UCLA. Moreover, I am a member of Kol Ahava: a non-profit organization (this organization focuses on providing for the sick, indigent and less fortunate, and more particularly we emphasize on children). As a care extender, I offer health care services to a suffering patients, who get admitted to the hospital before they get attended by hospitals Physicians.
Adiba Shaby Scholarship is known for providing the needed support for the society. Similarly, I have focused my desire and dreams in providing health care to the society for the rest of my life. For this vision to be practical in life, I need as much support as possible, and I already have moral support from my family and friends.
