Of course it is obvious that work has a central role in our lives and we can’t but have a job for our living. However, it means nothing about how efficiently we are working and to what extent we meet the employers’ need. Hence, this is a reason why they worry so much about their employees’ motivation. This is a kind of human resources manipulation. It means that with the help of stuff motivation, company management can achieve efficient workflow, labor discipline and other factors affecting the enterprise activity. In addition, a well-formed system of employee motivation can significantly optimize the production process. Thus, they are subject to a single set of rules adopted in the enterprise with clearly defined powers of each employee and his or her responsibilities.
Money, of course, is a strong incentive to work, but the monetary motivation is not so "saturating" and usually people quickly get used to the new, higher level of payment. Therefore, methods of non-material motivation are extremely important. The purpose of non-financial motivation is quite simple - to improve employees’ engagement in their work reflected in the increase in labor productivity. So, my position is that any kind of motivation should include money, though it will be the most efficient both for the employer and the employee if the latter will feel the sense of purpose and personal fulfillment.
Thus, managers should provide an effective interaction between employees and organization. Manager, establishing this interaction should know and keep a track of personality’s characteristics determining his or her behavior in an organization as well as of environmental parameters affecting a person’s inclusion in the organization. A manager should be able to apply the methods of effective motivation of people to work. So, to my mind, an employer shouldn’t be just a person providing wage for his employee, but rather a partner helping to design and implement the concept of individual career and motivation that will stimulate the development and self-realization of each of the employees.
