Recollection Of Childhood Experience Essay Samples
Childhood memories cannot be forgotten. They are a critical part of one's own beginnings and continue to shape one's experiences in years to come. Personally, I have one unforgettable childhood experience which still shapes how I behave now.
As a child, I had an experience which, although might not be very unique, but has shaped my future personal and academic choices. One summer, our City Council Manager wanted to introduce new families to old ones which had lived for years in our neighborhood. So, he posted notices around our neighborhood announcing a planned camping trip to a distant wood. The invitation was open to all. Every family was free to bring whatever food. However, we were warned, parents should keep an eye on children against wild animals. I was very excited since for first time I was going to go far away from home on a long trip. I spent many nights before Big Day imagining everything: strange plants and big animals (like in my illustrated book). The night before Big Day I just could not sleep and stayed up awake until next morning when we had to leave.
Passionately, I helped out my parents packing stuff into our car and attaching trailer. It took us four hours to arrive in a place which I had never seen before. After unpacking, I started to look around and I was really taken by what I saw: I just kept roaming about everywhere. I was really so absorbed into everything I saw. The place seemed heavenly. I could see plants and small animals I only saw in my storybook. I spent all days wandering about collecting stuff and all nights watching night sky. That summer I never forgot for years to come.
