Introduction
West coast cruise lines penetrate across United States through advertisements of their services. The west coast cruise lines believe that customer happiness and satisfaction is their number-one priority.
Explanation of Case Study
The case study will consider the case of the Charles and Hilda Erskind, who came just like any other cruisers (Lieberman & Nissen, 2008). They were picked by Lawrence Gonneff, the corporation member with whom they were often consulting concerning their cruise.
Care Ethics Theory
Theory of Egoism
Additionally, Gonneff failed to comply with the theory of egoism which defines what make something right or wrong, good or bad, is what make someone to satisfy one desire and meet someone needs. Gonneff is a tour guide who corresponds with matters regarding the cruisers. He did not satisfies his passengers desires neither he did not meet their needs rather he made a rationalized idea of directing his passengers to West Coast Paradise Van. He makes decisions for all his passengers, and in order to satisfy someone desire you have to know what is their decisions. The basic principle of the theory is to satisfy the self-interest of the passengers by considering what their desire is. Gonneff rationalized his self-interest but not his clients’ interest (Thiroux & Krasemann, 2009).

What do you understand about egoism and care ethics theories in relationship with the case study, the ride to paradise?
How is egoistic theory distinguished from care ethic theory?
Conclusion
In conclusion, the theories create a good environment for everyone to live in harmony and consider others as part of the decision. Theory of Ethics states that self-interest should consider others actions and helps us to care for those who need our support.

The basic principle of the care ethics theory is to guide us on making actions morally right or wrong and to have actions that care towards those who need support or are vulnerable.
