Introduction
The involvement of the United States in the affairs of Iraq and Syria, and other regions are a logical extension of post-World War II foreign policy. Not only that, but one can trace the motivations for American involvement in these two nations to the nineteenth century after the Civil War.

Thesis Statement

America has since been involved in many activities in various parts of the world. Such has made America get the title policemen of the world.
There are different stand and issues that make America seeks to uphold in as many regions in the world as possible. These are the founding principles upon which the American policies are based;

Freedom from fear (free from threats either internally or externally)
Freedom from want (provision of the basic needs)
Freedom of worship
Freedom of speech
Truman Doctrine
Freedom from aggression
Halt the abilities of totalitarian regimes (end such regimes)
Three aspects that led to the US becoming a world superpower
Industrial Revolution
High levels of production/mass quantity and large customer base making the goods find easy and ready markets
Strong economic power from international trade
Excellent government and military training
Atomic Diplomacy
NATO (NATO, 2015)
Great world abilities and being sought after by the UN to help in bring peace in various part of the world

Great success of NATO making the world trust their work and hence trust them to hand volatile situation

Three incidents where America took on a policing role previously
Vietnam
Korea
Desert Storm
Two most current incidences of America taking policing roles
Iraq (David S. Meyer and Catherine Corrigall-Brown, n.d)

Helping restore democracy and bring peace

Liberating the people from oppression and totalitarianism
Restoring the four freedoms
Syria
Restoration of peace
Helped end totalitarianism
Restoration of the four freedoms
Driving forces that fueled international policy in the two previous incidents
Oppression of the people by the government
Denial of freedom of speech
Requested by the Un and other international bodies to help the civilians from oppression
Unprovoked attacks
Political Imperialism
Making countries little democracies
Restoring peace
Reducing the threat to the neighboring regions
Economic
Iraq
Stabilized the country
Prepared the country for self-rule that is democratic in nature
Strong military
Training the military of the troubled countries to take over after the American leaves
Reinforcing the military by providing equipments and machines that can make the military strong
Instilling discipline among the military men to uphold democracy and be free from oppression, brain washing, and authoritarian rule.
Conclusion
America has earned the title policemen of the world due to involvement in various activities aimed at liberating the people.
It has also participated din improving the stability of the government by training the military and providing equipments
America has been looked upon by the UN, and other international organization to restore peace in many warring sections of the world since the end of World War II.
America shall continue to play this role in future.
