Since its existence from 2008, Algoma multicultural center (AMC) has worked to unite different cultures and helped immigrants to get employment and attain driver's licenses. Where necessary AMC has also helped in translation services to enhance communication.

With its board of directors ranging from students from the Algoma University, full-time employed individuals, and retirees, AMC is facing many hurdles that play a part in the organizations slow growth.
