Briefly describe the interpretation of the following:
a. Head twitch test. CP-809,101 administration is unable to give a significant head twitch response showing that the compound doesn’t show agonist-like activity at the 5-HT2A receptor. On the other hand, CP-809,101 is found to have good antagonist-like activity against the 5-HT2A receptor by inhibiting agonist-induced head twitch, which is one of the important processes for antipsychotic agents. Moreover, head twitch response is also used to check the hallucinogenic activity and CP-809,101 is not showing this activity.
