Introduction
Convergence in the UK system of education has been developed since the 1990s (Tait & Mills, 1999, p. 8). Traditional educational institutions have begun to apply open and distance learning or the educational technologies and approaches which allow student to learn even when they are distant from their teachers. It has been witnessed in many post secondary institutions (Tait & Mills, 1999, p. 9).
