In my facility, cumulative dose is documented electronically. There is a medical administration software that tally’s the amount of dosage that is meant to be administered. The software is monitored and re-evaluated by a physician and a recommended pharmacist before the prescription is dispensed. The system has been noted as accurate and ensures that the process is efficient. The role we play in my facility has to do with active assessment.
