In chapter five Northouse (2010), examines the situational approach towards leadership. According to the chapter, different authors and scholars have modified the model severally since its inception. Furthermore, it finds extensive used in organizational leadership. The focus of the model is the situation faced by a leader. It suggests that a leader should rely on all factors in order to make a decision when faced by a situation.
