From my experience, during lecture hours almost all student carry mobile phones to class and they may end up chatting or playing games not paying attention to lectures. Personal technology has also promoted cheating especially in exams. With technology, students have soft copies of teachers’ notes in their mobile phones which they use during exams hence false grades. They also access internet to get information during exams, this has led to institutions giving out fake degree holders with no content. These affects economy as those employed will not be in the position to come up with new innovations which is usually got from the class knowledge.
Despite of the drawbacks personal technology still takes a place in the modern world. People are toward the fast performance of tasks and shifting from analog to digital education. There is now even the electronic learning which involves studying from homes. This has also been driven by the requirements expected from a person to fulfill a job opportunity.
