The notion "organizational culture" includes most of spiritual and material life phenomena of the collective: the dominant material in its values and moral standards, adopted a code of conduct, entrenched rituals, the way of staff to dress up, and established quality standards for manufactured products. We interfere with the manifestations of organizational culture, barely crossing the threshold of the enterprise. It determines the adaptation of newcomers and veterans’ behavior. It focuses on reflection in a certain philosophy of management, especially senior management implemented in a particular organization's strategy. Culture has a pervasive effect on the activities of the organization. Therefore, organizational culture in these days is a popular and recurring theme.
My personal experience turned out the best reflection of organizational culture. It being too boring to study constantly, I desired to color my life by involvement in the youth organization. Consequently, I did the first step and established the local committee of the youth not-for-profit organization AIESEC in my city. I was lucky to make the acquaintance of this organization culture at the conference aimed to implicate new people. From the outset, there was a cultural shock, simultaneously inspiring and worrying myself. Members envision big changes, particularly, the program of cultural exchange that helps to fulfill the humankind’s potential by leadership development. Of course, as usual organizations AIESEC strongly follows the own values that I could acquire for my life. The most significant are activating leadership, enjoying of participation and acting sustainably. These keys empowered my character and mind in general. At present I work on own start-up, particularly, mobile application for AIESECers. My work turned out to inspire leadership through activities. Enjoying participation forms positive thinking that plays the vital role in the goal achievement. As for me, sustainability dignifies the sustainable way of organization and society simultaneously. And besides, organization influences you, demonstrating the corporate culture. For instance, dances, chants, and specified slang may change usual behavior. Having been involved in organization, person brings own unique impact and feels the influence of organization culture.
Thus, organizational culture has a great influence on the behavior of the organization: firstly, it creates a certain image of the organization, which distinguishes it from others; secondly, it is expressed in a sense of unity of all members of the organization; and thirdly, it increases the involvement in the affairs of the organization and dedication to it; finally, it enhances system stability in the social organization. Organizational culture is a kind of “social glue” that helps to unite the organization.
