Executive Summary

AfroMedia TV is a local television station established in the Benin Republic in West Africa. The television station is mainly focused on African content as it seeks to educate and inform viewers about the rich African culture. The station’s content is viewable worldwide, and it takes pride in an online video on demand service, hosted and streamed from Canada (Straubhaar, La Rose and Davenport). Currently, there are no television stations that focus on promoting African culture. The niche of this new television station is that it would be in the service of Africa by opening and demystifying Africa to the rest of the world.
The television station will explore the African culture through a unique concept in West African broadcasting. The television station will recognize the diversity of African culture among the many ethnic communities by presenting a united African identity to its viewers. Content that will be aired shall not only lean towards one side but shall market the African identity as the whole entity with rich culture provided by many different ethnic communities.
The proposed programming structure of the television station is a validated formula that is utilized by an estimate of 3000 local low power plants in the United States of America. It will emphasize on maximum local access and participation in order to serve our viewers in a satisfactory manner. This will bring out social change and action as our content will enlighten our esteemed viewers with fundamental knowledge and information. Our customers will also be given the opportunity to air the suggestions and views on the content broadcast by the television station.
A selection of the latest African Movies, documentaries, TV shows, and clips from Nigeria, Benin Republic, Sierra Leone and East African countries shall be aired on our television station. A hundred percent of our programming shall be geared towards promoting the rich and diverse African culture. The television station shall take a strong, bold stand against violent programming. It shall not air any content that is in any way harmful to any class of viewers. Most of the programs aired will be rated for general viewing hence parents and guardians need not be concerned with this sensitive issue when it comes to children viewing our content. This is a television station that will stand out in Africa.

Objectives

Establishment of a local television station in Benin Republic that is unique in its broadcasting services.
Feature local family-oriented programming and take a firm stand against violent programming that is harmful to viewers.
Feature and promote African culture through airing African content in the form of festivals, history, documentaries, dance, music and drama.
Promote music videos, comedy and documentaries from Nigeria, Benin Republic, and East African Countries.
Encourage and maximize on viewer participation by giving them an opportunity to contribute by way of suggestions or criticism of the content aired on the television station.
Identify with our African viewers and at the same time bring Africa as a whole to the rest of the world.

Strategy

Providing good quality programs by investing on our technology and improving it after certain duration to be in conformity with the current latest technology.
Employees should be well primed and should have the necessary skills to run the television station effectively. Cooperation among the employees by working as a team in the attainment of the objectives as defined within the business system.
An innovative marketing strategy that involves building alliances with advertising agencies and coming up with promotions that reward our viewers in a manner that changes their lives and makes them comfortable hence fulfill our social responsibility. This will further grow the number of our viewers and across the globe.

The Television Station Key Management Personnel

Bola Abimbola
He is a Nigerian Lawyer and Computer Security and Enterprise Risk Management (ERP) Expert based in Alberta, Canada. He is also the CEO of RoyaltecK Inc. of Canada. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AfroMedia TV Inc (USA). He has twenty-five years experience in financial controls and IT consulting on financial solutions, twenty years experience of providing auditing and business advisory services and twenty years experience in financial analysis, control, and reporting. He was in addition a Senior Managing Partner at Abimbola, Aluko and Co a private law practice in Lagos, Nigeria for seven years before relocating to Canada.

James Akpeokhai

He is the Managing Partner of Jim Okhai& Co. (Chartered Accountants) and Chairman of Advert Planet and Communications Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria.
James is a thorough-bred professional accountant. He holds a Master’s Degree (MBA) in International marketing and is a Fellow of both the Institutes of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). He is a Certified Forensic Accountant; member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered) and the International Association of Anti-Money Laundry Specialists (ACAMS).
He has ten year's experience in audit practice in an international accounting firm, where he gained extensive exposure in audits, investigation, taxation, enterprise risk management (ERP), and consultancy services. He also has ten years experience as Finance Head in two different international companies including a subsidiary of Compass Group, UK . He has over 5 years in full time specialized private practice as a chartered accountant, forensic auditor, chartered tax and management consultant.
James Akpeokhai is also the Chairperson of board of directors, Advert Planet & Communications Ltd and co-founder/ promoter and director in AfroMedia TV INC. (USA).
