The study of the political sciences helps one develop a comprehensive knowledge of the distribution of political power. It provides a thorough understanding of diverse political systems, government functions, political ideas, and world politics. It includes knowing who makes up the political systems and how these systems work. These are what increased my curiosity in Political Science. In 2013, I graduated from Beykent University in Turkey with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations. Back then, I took a lot of classes about political science, which further cemented my growing passion and interest in the subject. During that time, I had the realization that politics shapes everything in the world. Rules, policies, education, government administration, news, democracy, and laws are just among the many facets involved in political science. I have ever since wanted to be well-educated in this area because it has always been my dream to pursue a career in the academe. My interests include writing and researching about political science topics because this is where I want to be and make a difference. I want to be part of it as I help make the world a better place to live in.
I want to be involved in political science researches, which is the reason why I joined the politics and government administration certification program in my University. I wanted to gain more knowledge about running the government at the state and local levels, including doing political science research on the side. I also want to understand man’s political consciousness and how they are able to exercise their rights and duties as citizens of the world. I want to see how it could help in making good citizens out of people as well as securing and ensuring unity of different nations. In support of my interest in political science, I am a volunteer member in the International Middle East peace research center. Additionally, knowledge management and knowledge sharing are my passions, which pave the way for me to want a career in the academe. My passion has made my resolve to become part of it stronger and more meaningful as I want to make a difference and more so, make the world a better place for everyone to live in.
As an individual, I am highly motivated to have a successful future. I thrive in challenges and I welcome opportunities that further hone my leadership qualities. I am highly focused in what I want to do in life, as exemplified by my choices especially when it comes to my work and interests. I always find opportunities to improve myself and increase my knowledge on subjects that interest me. I am a critical thinker, proficient in analysis, and have good communication skills that political scientists develop. What’s more, I have a cooperative personality, thus, people are easily drawn to me and find working with me easy and an opportunity to learn more as well.
After completing my Master’s degree in Political Science, I am determined to begin and finish my PhD about peace studies and global development. As I steer my future towards the direction I intend to pursue, I will continue to strive harder and learn more about political systems. My experience working in a diverse community and work environment will help me arrive at decisions based on the analysis and synthesis of data and information. As I continue to engage in global political events, my knowledge about political science steadily increases. Thus, the information I will glean from formal education combined with actual experiences on the subject will bolster my already-vast competence and aptitude in political science-related matters.
