I gained leadership, knowledge, personal and marketing competencies while researching and writing the course Comprehensive Project. The knowledge competencies that helped me to deal with factual information and gave me clear understanding of technology and marketing principles. The Knowledge, leadership and marketing competencies are building blocks for a marketer’s journey towards successful marketing. I gained awareness concerning factors that affect marketing activities in an organization. The personal competencies I gained in the process of researching are self-awareness, inquisitiveness, integrity, honesty, optimism, open-mindedness and empathy.
I leveraged knowledge gained in the intellipath assignments (Units 1- 4) in completing the Comprehensive Project. The marketing and knowledge competencies equipped with relevant skills that enabled me to gather relevant data and information that was crucial to the completion of this research. I leveraged the competencies by coordinating the flow of knowledge in all the topics I researched on. The knowledge competencies helped me to integrate marketing knowledge that entails customer knowledge process, market research, marketing strategy and competitor knowledge process. I leveraged the competencies obtained during research to integrate various marketing concepts with new knowledge in marketing. Additionally, I leveraged the competencies and knowledge by developing a strategic marketing plan.
The competencies and knowledge I gained while researching and writing the report will support my career advancement in management. The competencies and knowledge will help in when formulating marketing strategies and designing marketing plans for the future. The marketing competencies will guide me when formulating marketing strategies for various product lifecycle stages. The competencies will improve my efficiency in analyzing factors that influence marketing strategies and they will increase my understanding of the factors that determine the contemporary organizational and consumer decisions. The competencies and knowledge will help me when designing strategic marketing plans.
