Energy is the basic need in the present times. Without energy, the sign of life would not be possible. Wheel of life cycle would be stopped if there is no energy. In modern times, life is being progressed day by day because of the resources and energy is one of them. Hence with the advancement in time, energy and its needs are also being increased.

Further in this paper, we will discuss about different solar cells and their working capability with efficiency.

Although there are different types of solar cells but here in our research paper we will discuss about two different cells and their comparison. One is the multicrystalline silicon solar cells (Basu et.al 2571) while the other is Dye-sensitized solar cells (Paterno et.al 2342). Hence moving on, we will now discuss about the performance and efficiency of the two cells.

Comparison:

There are different factors that can be discussed for the comparison of two solar cells. One is the cost and the production process. Dye-cells are named because in the preparation of these cells, natural dyes are sensitized such as mulberry, blueberry and jaboticaba’s skin which are friendlier for the environment and has low cost (Paterno et.al 2342). Different parameters are shown below which shows the sensitization by different natural dyes.
On the other hand, multicrystalline silicon solar cells are made through texturing process which includes the etching of silicon in the compound solution of sodium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite at high temperature. This process needs optimized conditions and is suitable in industrial production line (Basu et.al 2571). This process is economical and has more usage as shown below.
Hence in comparison on the basis of production, Dye-cells are more preferable because they are more economical than other as they require no optimized conditions.
Furthermore on the basis of gain and efficiency, multicrystalline silicon solar cells have gain of AM 1.5 spectrum and are more efficient than all other solar cells. These cells can bear more heat directly from the sun as they have 10% sun intensity shown in the figure below (Basu et.al 2571).
As obvious from the figure, V-I diagram shows the measurement of sun intensity which shows the performance of multicrystalline silicon solar cells. Hence it has more ability to absorb sun light.
In contrary, Dye-cells have maximum efficiency at sensitized level of 518nm which can be increased up to 530nm with the help of anthocyanins as shown in figure below (Paterno et.al 2343).
Figure shows the spectra of mulberry dye. Hence on the basis of efficiency and gain, multicrystalline silicon solar cells can be preferred.
Hence to conclude all the above discussion, we have seen comparison on the basis of cost, production and efficiency. Through which we can conclude that multicrystalline silicon solar cell is more preferable as it has more intensity to bear sun and is economical for the industrial use. Moreover, these cells are more efficient than Dye-cells.
